Making Space

Opportunity type: Long-term Commitment

Role: Creative: Art, Craft, Design, Events, Performance, Marketing

District: Great Lever

Time of day: Weekday Mornings

Does this opportunity provide wheelchair access? Yes

Location: Indoor

Description: The Bolton Carer Support Service supports people who care for a relative/friend with a mental illness. We support unpaid carers to find themselves outside their caring role, give information and advice as well as peer support in meeting other people in a similar situation. The art group takes place in Ainsdale Court on the first Monday of the month. Both carers from our service and residents living at Ainsdale Court get involved in the arts and crafts group. This would be a good opportunity for a volunteer to share their art skills and help others to build their skills and confidence. The sessions take place on the first Monday of the month from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. You would be planning and running the session with the support from staff (who are keen to help but not confident in doing art).

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)
