Description: As a Trustee you will · Provide a youth voice to guide Bolton Together’s strategy · Have the chance to improve health & wellbeing of young people and families · Influence to shape innovative projects · Gain an opportunity to become part of a small, committed Board who are driven to provide the best person-centred services Role Specification · Support the growth of the consortium · Contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to Bolton Together and evaluating performance against agreed targets. · Ensure that Bolton Together pursues its mission and objectives as outlined in its governing body · Ensure that Bolton Together complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations. · Ensure that Bolton Together performs it’s Safeguarding duties to children and young people · Lead Safeguarding good practice for the organization and it’s members · Ensure that Bolton Together uses its resources to support its objectives · Ensure the financial stability of Bolton Together Required skills · Commitment to Bolton Together and its mission and values · Willingness to put time and effort into the Trustee Role · Strategic vision · Good, independent judgement · Effective team member · Excellent communicator and strong interpersonal skills · Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive and confidential information · Ability to analyse information and, when necessary, challenge constructively · Ability to think creatively · A willingness to speak your mind · An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship We are looking for someone who · is an enthusiastic and energetic individual, passionate about improving the lives of children, young people, and families. · Is an individual with a commitment to working collaboratively Trustees meet bimonthly, alternating between teams and in person meetings. This is a voluntary role. New Trustees will have an informal induction and an opportunity to participate in training. All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
