Description: About the Role: We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our services. You’ll join our experienced Adults Service and Outreach Support Centre teams, playing a key role in delivering support to women, families, children, and young people. Whether in our Refuge or Outreach Support Centre, your excellent customer service and administrative skills will be vital. Expect a varied role where no two days are the same! Key Duties: • Greet and assist staff, residents, clients, and visitors. • Answer phone calls professionally and promptly. • Provide administrative support to our teams. • Offer support and information to women using our services. • Assist with essential support tasks e.g. health and safety checks, managing donations, and preparing accommodations. • Promptly report any issues and attend regular update/supervision meetings. • Maintain accurate records in line with data protection regulations and Fortalice procedures. Requirements: • Female applicants only (as per Section 7.2e of the Equality Act 2010). • Must be 18+ years old. • Be reliable, flexible, enthusiastic and non-judgmental. • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in person. • Friendly and approachable with the ability to handle distressing situations calmly. • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word and Excel). • Team player with a willingness to learn and attend training. • Commit to at least 6 months of volunteering post-training. • Experience or awareness of safeguarding is a plus. Commitment Required: Minimum of three hours per week, with the option to volunteer more. Available Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 6 pm.
