Description: We are a small local charity who need the help of kind and caring people to help the older members of our community from feeling lonely and isolated. There are too many people in their homes who long to have some friendly company. You could be that person who can really brighten someone's day by providing some friendly conversation that can ease that feeling of loneliness. If you are a kind and caring person who has some time to spare then we would really appreciate your help. We ask for at least one hour of your time a week to visit a person you are matched with. These visits will be arranged to suit both yourself and the person who you will be befriending. Befriending provides a very rewarding opportunity in helping others, and can also increase your own confidence and sense of wellbeing.
