Description: We’ re looking for enthusiastic, approachable, and fun-loving people to be an Event Volunteer at NSPCC Fundraising Events in the north west. Around 90% of our income comes from our supporters, and we couldn’t continue doing what we do without them. That means, our event volunteers will play an important part in raising vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse. What you’ll do: You’ll volunteer, on an ‘as and when’ basis, kindly volunteering your time at fundraising events, to help raise vital funds for the NSPCC. You could be selling raffle tickets at a Black-Tie Ball or Ladies Lunch, be a cheerer at one of our organised challenge events, marshalling or bucket collecting for the vital work the NSPCC does, all the time engaging with the public, promoting a positive image for the NSPCC. We’d particularly like to hear from you if your workplace offers a matched funding scheme alongside your attendance at a fundraising event. As an Event Volunteer, you’ll work closely with your local Community Fundraising Manager who can provide you with a choice of events to attend. This role offers the opportunity to build your personal skills and raise your profile in your region. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to two to three events a year, but you can do more if you would like to. What you’ll get: At the event, we’ll support you with guidance, advice, and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word of the NSPCC. You’ll learn more about how you’re helping to protect children across the UK, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and inspire others to support us. It’s also a chance to take on new challenges and make new friends.
