Description: Outreach Volunteer Role: To help staff information displays at various sites in and around Bolton to raise awareness about Bolton Carers Support. Giving out information to people and taking note of any enquiries to be followed up by a staff member. Purpose of the role: To raise awareness of Bolton Carers Support and the services it provides to registered carers. Helping carers to feel less isolated knowing that there is a service in the Bolton community to help and support them. Tasks & Responsibilities: Handing out information. Raise awareness about Bolton Carers Support within your own network of family, friends and wider community. To provide a ‘listening’ ear and basic signposting information to carers and to take details of any enquiries to pass on to a staff member at Bolton Carers Support. To comply with Bolton Carers Support policies including Confidentiality. Skills & Qualities Needed: You must have excellent listening skills and communication skills and be reliable. Confidentiality is essential. When & Where: Various sites in and around Bolton. Set days are available for this role. Volunteers are required for half days and full days at some events.
