Organisation description: Step Together Volunteering supports people with complex needs across the UK who face significant risk of social exclusion. We combine intensive asset-based mentoring with bespoke volunteering placements, helping people with complex needs to recognise and develop the skills, self-esteem, confidence, aspirations and social capital they need to move forward and live life to their full potential. We have two programmes operating across Greater Manchester (including Bolton), one supporting young people with complex needs, and the other supporting people facing significant barriers due to involvement with the criminal justice system. We also offer a six-week course called For MY Future which looks at self-confidence, self-esteem, Decision Making/ Motivation & Self Belief, Disclosure Information and Advice, Advice around CV, Interview Techniques, and access to wider opportunities with our partner agencies once the course is completed.
