Organisation description: We are a community based Charity in Westhoughton. We provide a wide range of services for all ages - supporting the local community with activities, training, self help groups, dancing, fitness, arts crafts, events + much more. Westhoughton Vision took responsibility of the building which was previously the Community College in 2017. They went on to form The Hub at Westhoughton with the support of local councillors, Bolton Council and a team of enthusiastic volunteers and subsequently became a charity in July 2021. The Hub has blossomed into an amazing space for Westhoughton residents. The aim was to save the building, and provide a vibrant and useful space for activities and to be inclusive. With this is mind, we aim our events and activities at different age groups and in different areas. Such as, coding workshops, art classes, exercise classes for all ages, dancing and support groups for seniors The project is led by two experienced community leads and has a board of trustees. Together they have created a fun and vibrant community hub for everyone in Westhoughton. The Hub has many rooms and spaces which are also available for hire for classes and activities.
