Organisation description: Green Shoots Bolton NW (originally Harpers Lane Community Garden) is an umbrella group for a number of projects within the Bolton area. This includes:- Harpers Lane Community Garden - a maturing walled garden Ivy Rd Community Project - an project to turn a neglected green space into a community forest garden Bolton West Guerilla Gardeners - planting in other neglected green spaces Litter Pickers of Bolton West - litter picking mainly in Halliwell, Smithills, Heaton and Queens Park and Central as well as across the Borough Gilnow Rd Green Island - greening up a traffic island Friends of Captains Clough - transformation of a neglected Local Nature Reserve into a nature trail with added features Moss Bank Way/Halliwell Rd Art Project - cleaning up a negleccted feature
