Organisation description: Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month at the Westhoughton Library (first floor) from 10.00 am to 12 noon. The aim is to stimulate public interest in heritage, to provide an arena for the public to study the social and industrial of the area, to secure, preserve and develop their heritage and also to encourage appropriate use of the countryside in the area as part of the heritage framework and to develop a sense of community in the area. The programme includes speakers and trips to places of interest.
