Organisation description: Established in 1992, Bolton Hospice has been offering high-quality care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families for the last three decades. The need for hospice care in Bolton was first identified in 1984 and thanks to the unwavering, dedicated support of our community we've been able to care for thousands of local families when they needed us most. It's an honour and a privilege to care for our community, and we are proud to be such an integral part of our town. Our mission is ‘to provide the very best hospice care’ and our purpose is ‘to enable people to live well until they die’. As a charity, our goal is to enable people in Bolton to experience the best possible palliative care through one-on-one care and our drop-in service. Our consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide specialist care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice, at our wellbeing hub and at home and aims to improve the lives of people whose illness may not be curable. We place the highest value on respect and choice. We hope to help create an environment that makes people feel comfortable and help individuals to live as actively as possible after diagnosis to the end of their lives, however long that might be. Bolton Hospice currently treats 800+ patients annually from all communities and backgrounds, across our services, with many more loved ones and carers receiving support, help and advice. All of this is provided for free to ensure everyone who needs us can receive the specialist care
