Organisation description: Horwich Heritage is a local history society formed in 1985. It has a membership of about 200 and holds monthly speaker meetings (2nd Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm) and organises walks, trips, exhibitions, open days and other events. It runs its own heritage centre (open weekdays 2 - 4pm and Saturdays 10am - 12.30pm) which offers exhibitions, audio-visual presebtations, a shop and archive or research facilities. Admission is free. Membership is £10 per annum.
