Organisation description: Our programmes support the development of crucial life skills, improve confidence and boost self-esteem. We target children and young people at key transition points so they can maximise their learning experiences. We look beyond the problems young people face, and towards their potential. We nurture the assets, talents, resources and abilities all children possess. Power2 run a range of programmes including; Teens and Toddlers - The Teens and Toddlers educational programme is delivered over one morning or afternoon each week over 16 weeks and encourages young people to: • Become a mentor and role model to a child in a nursery, supporting their learning and development. • Take part in reflective group learning sessions which include specialised coaching to boost their self-confidence and raise aspirations. • Achieve a national qualification in Interpersonal Skills (NCFE Level 1). Power2 Rediscover - The Power2 Rediscover programme was developed as a direct response to the Covid-19 crisis and conversations we've had with young people, teachers, youth workers and carers about the impact the crisis has already had and will have in the future. Sessions include conversations and practical tools to help young people with: • COVID-19 and understanding the new “normal” including the importance of social distancing. • Mental health and wellbeing including helping participants develop positive routines, healthy habits and sleeping patterns. • Tackling feelings of loneliness and isolation by making sure young people know there is someone out there for them during lockdown and beyond. • Practical and emotional support for coping with learning in lockdown. • Planning for the future by setting goals and aspirations for both the long and short term and, crucially, providing young people with the tools they need to actively work towards them • Earning a certificate of achievement on completion of the programme.
