Organisation description: Across Bolton we deliver a number of programmes and projects working with a wide range of ages from 5 years old through to 95 years old. Our programmes include working with primary schools and their pupils to inspire them to learn, be active and develop important life skills. We also work with secondary school pupils to improve their employability, life skills and personal development. Through our mentoring programme we carry out interventions with identified children who require additional support; whether that is in their behaviour, English, Maths, confidence or physical literacy. We have a large youth outreach and engagement programme, working in youth settings and in areas where there are identified high levels of anti-social behaviour. We have a disability programme which aims to increase to numbers of those with disabilities playing sport and creating an active and healthy way of life. This includes offering qualifications, meaningful work placements and volunteering opportunities and increasing their social and support network. We deliver weight management programmes to men, as well as mental health programmes. We work with those aged 55+ across a number of programmes including physical activity projects, other projects that look to reduce social isolation through bringing people together, garden gate visits to their houses, making welfare phone calls, delivering a sporting reminiscence session at the stadium. We have also worked with primary schools and older members of the community to deliver an intergenerational programme of work.
