Organisation description: SAMIS Men in Sheds (formally Seven Acres Men in Sheds) were the first Men in Sheds group set up and has been a successful project for many years. Initially based out of the Wildlife trust building on Seven Acres ,they then moved to St Chads Community Garden and more recently to the new site being developed on Beechcroft Grove. Primarily aimed at men, they do accept women members as well. Originally focused on older men and tackling social isolation and improve health and wellbeing, its remit has grown. They now accept clients of social prescribers and have had real success in integrating people with complex needs into the project. They also work with Bolton Cares to provide woodworking opportunitites
