Organisation description: Bolton Girls Tools is a new support, advice and training network that will provide intervention and enhancement strategies for the most at-risk females aged 8 - 24. It was constituted in 2020, however because of the covid-19 pandemic it never had the chance to get off the ground. With cases decreasing and restrictions being lifted, this is our opportunity to present Girls Tools to the world. It is designed to provide information and resources for young people at any stage of their personal development whether as a preventative measure or as a means to deal with current personal issues. The project will be delivered by youth workers, counselors and many other professionals. Per recent surveys a high percentage of teenage girls are said to be unable to cope with the pressures of life. With influence from peer groups, problems created by broken homes, the easy availability of drugs and alcohol, bullying and immense social pressure to look good, many young females are struggling to make rational decisions and stay focused. There aren’t many organisations that focus solely on the physical and mental issues surrounding women, especially in the area of Halliwell which is in the top 3% most deprived wards in the Europe, which makes our project extremely necessary. Therefore, our main aims are to give these vulnerable girls a chance to grow and follow their dreams. To offer them support and guidance through life in the best way that we possibly can.
