Organisation description: BASE X is committed to community cohesion and takes part in raising cultural awareness in all communities. For the past two years our focus has been on youth research & youth groups capacity building. We are helping to deliver many youth and community projects across Greater Manchester with a focus on Bolton in particular where we are based. BASE X played a fundamental part in working with the local communities and the Police in the recent summer protests against racist groups that visited Bolton. We are now putting more emphasis on community cohesion than ever before dur to the events of summer 2024. BASE aims to empower local communities of colour; culturally, socially, economically, digitally, physically and environmentally by highlighting and tackling the root cause of 'Systemic Racism'. BASE aims to empower and support local Global Majority 'BAME' Social enterprises and youth & community groups to have a positive social impact in the local communities that they live and work in.
