Who the organisation is for: All

Organisation description: We play outdoor crown green bowls socially and we are affiliated to three leagues, which, at the moment, are not playing due to Coronavirus. Playing in these leagues only takes up three evenings a week. Our season runs from March to the end of September depending on the weather. We are open 7 days a week. We offer membership to everyone, but this will be cancelled if people abuse the club rules. Some of our members help out with any jobs that need to be done on the green and around the green as we have plenty of flower beds that need attention. Often this provides a change of scene for some people and a chance to get outside and meet people. If people come to us who can't play, our members will show them how to play and encourage them. We also have a social side: every 3-4 weeks we hold in-house competitions for which we have trophies which members can keep until the following season. We provide a buffet-type tea which is usually enjoyed by everyone; there is a small charge for this. Also a raffle. This helps boost the club funds. There is also an Annual General Meeting, under normal circumstances. Everyone is welcome.
