Our networking, training and events are led by entrepreneurs who know how to run proper businesses that do good in their communities, supporting the social enterprise sector in Bolton to flourish.

Proper Good operates across Greater Manchester, in Bolton, Oldham, Wigan and Stockport. Our local partners and supporters here in Bolton include Turn up the Value, Starts with you, Bolton CVS, Bolton Council, Bolton University, Bolton Chamber of Commerce, HOOT Credit Union, Bolton at Home, Youth Leads, Bolton Solidarity Community Association and Greater Manchester Growth Company, who will work with Bolton’s businesses to build a stronger, more resilient economy.

As part of the Proper Good support programme, GMCVO are offering affordable and accessible social investment for social enterprises, community businesses and trading charities that create social impact in Bolton, Oldham, Stockport and Wigan.

The Proper Good programme is part of the Local Access Programme which is jointly funded by Big Society Capital and Access – The Foundation for Social Investment. It is one of six programmes from across England that aim to support the growth of local social economies to help reduce poverty and inequality.
