It was more than just our quarterly networking session – it was Proper Good celebration of Social Enterprise Day!
Lisa Forrest, Proper Good project co-ordinator, said: “Social entrepreneurs are change makers, and change making is hard!
“So, we decided we would spend this Social Enterprise Day creating a space to focus on wellbeing. We were delighted so many familiar faces came to connect, share and support our sector.”
Headspace, arts organisation run by and for peers with experience of mental health and neurodiversity, generously hosted the celebratory event at “The Den” and proved that laughter is the best medicine with their comedy for wellbeing workshop.
The evening was interspersed with the chance to network, fuelled by delicious pasties courtesy of HMPasties.
Social entrepreneurs of Bolton left refreshed and reinvigorated, ready to continue doing business the right way for society and our community, after a relaxing sound bowl bath from The Karmic Collective to close the event.
If you are interested in being your own boss or have an idea for a social enterprise you want support with, or even want to join us for our next networking event, find out more about the Proper Good programme.
