**APPLICATIONS FOR THIS GRANT ARE NOW CLOSED**

The National Monument Against Violence and Aggression (the Knife Angel) will be on display on Deansgate in Bolton Town Centre from 1st – 30th November 2023.

This incredible sculpture is made from over 100,000 seized blades and stands over 27 feet tall.

It was created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour whilst addressing a need for social change.  Its purpose is to act as a catalyst for turning the tide on violent and aggressive behaviour. It also acts as a memorial designed to remember the lives lost through violent and thoughtless actions.

The Knife Angel has been successfully touring the country for several years and has been hosted in locations across the Northwest, but Bolton will be the first locality in Greater Manchester to host the monument.

Bolton CVS, on behalf of Bolton Council, are distributing micro grants of up to £500 to voluntary, community and social enterprise groups to help them access the sculpture.

The Knife Angel grants are for Bolton based voluntary, community and social enterprise groups in order to help them access the sculpture.

In order to receive a grant from this fund your proposed project must include:

Small grants of up to £500 are available.

All visits and activities must take place in November 2023 and all monitoring information must reported by 31st December 2023.
