Innovative Bolton arts organisation and Proper Good networking hosts Headspace are inviting you with their festive improv comedy Murder Inc Presents: A Die-kensian Christmas.
The seasonal show, on Tuesday, December 12 at 7pm, promises the audience the opportunity to cast the actors as ghosts, waifs, wealthy tyrants or whatever you fancy in Victorian London.
Either way… one of them is going to have their goose cooked. It’s improv, it’s comedy, it’s a murder mystery the audience solves. God bless us, every one!

We called “Action!” with TV and film social enterprise Parity Pictures in October when they featured as our social enterprise of the month. Bolton has been an absolute gift to the world of showbusiness, from providing locations and inspiration to on – and off – screen talent.
They will be going into 2024 bringing together commissioners and creatives in the North West, making shows and films that tap into our community’s unique skill base and boosting employment in the area.
September’s social enterprise of the month was good for the environment, good for those struggling financially and good for local businesses.
Recycle-IT collects and recycles computer equipment – electronic waste – and put it back into the community either as refurbished items or broken down into reusable materials.
They also make an affordable and ecologically sound option for Christmas presents!
A full PC package is available for £50 which includes a TFT screen, base unit, keyboard and mouse. Specs: i3-@ 3.60GHz 8Gb DDR3 Ram 500GB HDD Windows 10 Pro
Christmas is about more than just what you are getting in your stocking on the 25th.
Earlier in the year we featured Lagan’s Foundation, a Bolton charity that provides home respite and support services for children and young people with complex health needs across the North West.
They receive no government funding. If you are planning to make a donation to charity rather than send Christmas cards this year, they would greatly appreciate it.
Well, we don’t like to toot our own horn but Proper Good is a really (Christmas) cracker of a programme for social enterprises!
Business support, networking and training led by entrepreneurs who know how to run proper businesses that do good in their communities have all been gifts that keep on giving for our social enterprises this year and every year.
Proper Good peeps can also apply for social investment to grow their businesses and scale their impact. Magical!
If you are finding the Christmas rush all too much and are already looking forward to a peaceful new year, then visit The Karmic Collective’s online shop for a Full Moon in Leo bath ritual pack or cleanse that negative energy with their sage smudge stick. Vouchers are also available.
Christmas is all about giving and if you are already looking forward having a delicious dinner with all the trimmings on the 25th, please spare a thought for those who are struggling to feed their families throughout December.
If you can contribute, please visit their website now to help. If you are worried about not having enough food yourself, Crescent Food Bank is a gift to you.
We wish all social enterprises in Bolton a Proper Good Christmas and a very happy new year.
See you all in 2024!
