This exciting new Bolton’s Fund grant funding opportunity will fund innovative partnership projects delivered by at least two voluntary, community or social enterprises, that will benefit the communities of Bolton.

The goal of the new grant programme is to enable partnerships to test out ideas that will meet the needs of their beneficiaries or to enable more people to access their services. Bolton CVS and Bolton’s Fund are looking to fund projects that will be strengthened by organisations working in partnership.

The programme will provide grants of up to £35,000 for partnerships to deliver projects with a maximum duration of 12 months. One organisation must take on the lead role in the partnership.

Grants can be used to fund a wide range of different types of projects and activities. This includes projects that help children get the best possible start in life, initiatives that keep people active and connected in their communities and projects that will protect and improve the local environment.

All projects that receive funding will need to demonstrate how their proposal will address one or more of the Bolton’s Fund priorities.

The grants can be used to fund the costs associated with setting up a new activity or extending a project to reach more beneficiaries. This includes project-related costs such as administration costs, staffing and volunteer costs, and essential equipment.

Grant applications opened on Monday 12th August 2024. There are application deadlines every two months throughout the year. The first closing date for applications is Sunday 3rd November 2024. The second closing date is Sunday 5th January 2025.
