Celebrating Volunteering in Bolton

Get Involved Bolton! Celebrating Volunteering in Bolton

Volunteers Week 1st June – 7th June

This year for Volunteers Week, Bolton CVS visited a number of different venues across Bolton to promote and celebrate volunteering.

As part of Volunteers Week, Bolton CVS held an event in the Market Place, Bolton on Saturday 3rd June; 10.30am – 2.30pm,  designed to showcase and celebrate volunteering in Bolton.  The event was a huge success, we had stalls from Bolton Lads and Girls Club, Birtenshaw, Bolton Guide Dogs, Caritas Salford, Hoot Credit Union, Bolton Interfaith Council, Homestart Bolton, Caribbean Elders Association and Manchester Fire Service who brought along a children's fire engine!  The event was compered by Saeed Atcha from Tower FM and we had amazing entertainment from Bolton Belters, Bolton Mandhata Youth, Bolton Lads and Girls Club and Bolton Warblers Community Choir.

Bolton CVS provides a range of support for people who are interested in getting involved in their local community through volunteering.  Over this week, Bolton CVS has interacted with 973 people in Bolton!
