Emergency Volunteering Engagement Workshop - what's your role?

Registration is closed for this event

Emergency/spontaneous volunteers (ESV) are those who step forward to help in times of emergency, whether as an individual person or as a local voluntary/community organisation who are able to provide shelter/facilities/transport etc.

Examples of situations:

  • Manchester Arena bombing
  • Stoneclough flooding
  • Rivington Moorland fire

ESV are invaluable resources that need to be well-managed, sustained and planned so that they can respond promptly, appropriately and effectively in an emergency situation.

Bolton CVS, in partnership with Bolton Council, are hosting this engagement workshop for people to find out if and how their organisations (or themselves as individuals) might fit into these plans.

If you are unsure if this is for you/your organisation, please use this opportunity to come along and find out more!  By attending the workshop you are under no obligation to become further involved.
