Bolton Carers

The Bolton Carers Strategy was launched on Thursday 15th June, have a read here.

The development of this strategy has been led by Bolton Council in partnership with a number of partners including Bolton CVS.

The strategy sets out the vision for Carers within Bolton focusing on identifying carers and collaboratively designing, with carers and service providers, appropriate information and support.

A Carers Partnership has now been established within Bolton with representation from Bolton Council, Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group, The Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, The Voluntary and Community Sector and Carers Representation.  This partnership will be responsible for supporting the implementation of The Carers Strategy in Bolton and delivering actions set out in the action plan.

Partnership Work is also currently taking place to look at provision for Young Carers within Bolton, looking at what currently existing, gaps in provision and how these gaps can be addressed.  Bolton Carers Support is facilitating brining partners around the table to discuss this.  Contact Bolton Carers Support on 01204 363056.

Bolton Council have recently invested in a 24 hour Carers Helpline which is an extension of the helpline provided by Bolton Carers Support in partnership with Bolton at Home and the Careline service.   The new 24hr Carers Helpline is 01204 363056.
